As a Club J Teacher, you will create and implement structured programs, promote learning in a licensed after-school program serving children in grades K-6. As a year-round employee, you will transition to the J-Camp summer program when school is not in session.The Place:

Join us!The Core Duties:Effectively interact with and supervise school-age children in individual and group settings to broaden their learning experiencesPlan and implement developmentally appropriate experiences to provide a consistent learning environment that allows for emotional, cognitive, social, and physical growth in children for the after-school program based on departmental goalsChallenge children to interact, learn, create, and thrive while conforming to the individual needs and development of each childRecord daily attendance of children, make sure all children are accounted for and always know their whereaboutsMaintain compliance and keep current with Community Care Licensing Regulations to maintain accreditation statusHandle and address parent concerns and questions promptly and appropriately; informing Club J Director when relevantAdhere to and ensure programs meet all licensing, Club J policies and procedures, including COVID-19 Health & Safety and OFJCC requirementsPick up children in JCC vans from various schools and safely transport them back to Club J, as assignedThe Essentials:High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree preferred1+ year of experience teaching in a licensed child care center or comparable program preferred1 year of experience in youth program development preferred12 semester units of Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development (CD) units, or units recognized by Community Care Licensing as qualifying in an afterschool setting or Associate Teacher Permit or Teacher Permit issued by the California Commission of Teacher CredentialingValid and appropriate California Driver LicenseStrong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsAbility and desire to work independently and as a team member with the community and other employeesAbility to multi-task and adjust priorities when requiredPositive, upbeat, and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environmentCleared Background Check (Fingerprints, Child Abuse Index Check, and Medical/TB exam)Pediatric First Aid and CPR CertifiedThe Perks:Medical, dental, vision insurancePaid holidays and paid time off403(b) retirementFree membership at our award-winning fitness centerDiscounts for OFJCC Preschool, J-Camp, and Club J tuitionFun, motivating workplaceBenefits exceptions apply, based on the number of hours worked per weekIf interested and qualified, please send a cover letter and resume to
