Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment, the Director of Undergraduate Admission provides leadership and direction for recruitment, application review, enrollment goal development, and institutional outreach to key constituent groups. The director will oversee the admissions staff, providing mentorship, leadership, guidance, and support.The successful Director of Undergraduate Admission candidate will:Continue to build and enhance the recruitment funnel of prospective undergraduate students through identifying new emerging markets and expanding on current ones.Meet projected enrollment targets as defined by the strategic plan.Strengthen transfer enrollment by evaluating processes, removing barriers to entry, and cultivating transfer partnerships.Maintain a positive office culture through investing in staff’s professional development.Develop and implement strategies utilizing data to maximize impact in achieving recruitment and retention goals for undergraduate students.Essential Functions:Navigate relationships with diverse populations.Articulate college programs and the admissions process to individuals and groups.Relate to senior institutional leadership.Travel as needed.Write reports utilizing computer technology.Become proficient with computer technology related to the admissions processes.Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s preferredPreferred Qualifications:At least 5 years of higher education experience in admission.Leadership experience in higher education undergraduate admission work.Demonstrated success in developing and improving recruitment and enrollment of first-year and transfer students within a given budget.Exceptional written and oral communications, public speaking/presentation, and networking skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and utilize data for decision-making.Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, faculty, and staff.Commitment to diversity.Experience with Slate or other CRM technology.Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.Anna Maria College is a four-year, private, co-ed, Catholic institution located in the heart of New England on a 260-acre campus, educating students to become ethical leaders and community-oriented professionals.
