Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.BASIC PURPOSEThe purpose of this position is to provide program, administrative, and clerical support to the Santa Rosa Corps.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with, or lead regularly scheduled Corps Programs such as:Youth Activities, Sunday School, Holiness Meetings, Junior Church, Youth group, Troops, Day Camp, VBS and Special Programs, Events and Divisional Programs/EventsAdministrate TAM (Tutoring and Mentoring Program). This includes program, staff, volunteers, organization, and oversight.Supervise Day Camps.Assist with seasonal work including kettles program, and food and toy donation. Connect with kettle locations and income.Christmas assistance application intake and distribution. Adopt a Family and toy sorting and bagging. Employees and Volunteers.Prepare monthly statistics program reports.Prepare monthly calendar.Assist with EDS Efforts.Perform other related duties assigned by Corps Officer.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTSHigh School DiplomaAbility to speak and write the English language at a high and professional level.High degree of confidentialityComputer literate, in windows environment (Microsoft Office), Outlook, Publisher, and Access.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent organizational skillsStrong ability to utilize a high level of time management and handle multiple tasks.Excellent attention to detail and ability to track and present very accurate information.Ability to maintain a good rapport and communication with other staff members, service unit and center personnel, vendors, and the public.Ability to professionally and accurately operate under stressful working conditions in a rapidly changing work environment with multiple priorities.Ability to play an instrument and/or teach music.Knowledge of The Salvation Army and its organizational structure is preferred.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust possess a valid California

Class C Driver License , and the ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle.Must be 21 years or older.Authorize The Salvation Army to add the name to the CA DMV Pull Notice Program.Complete The Salvation Army vehicle course training.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.Ability to grasp, push, and/or pull objects.Ability to reach overhead.Ability to operate telephone.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. for administrative positions.Ability to operate a computer.Ability to process written, visual, and/or verbal information.Ability to operate basic office equipment and tools PC, Fax Machine, Telephone, Calculator, Copier, Printer.Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
