Our client is seeking a skilled Machinist/Programmer to join their team in Albany, Georgia. The successful candidate will be responsible for CNC programming for mill and lathe parts, creating program setup sheets, aiding in fixturing, recommending tooling, and training others in CNC G-code programming. A key aspect of this role is working on time-saving projects to enhance shop efficiency while being hands-on with team members on the shop floor.
Responsibilities:
CNC programming for mills and lathes
Creation of program setup sheets
Fixturing and work holding assistance
Tooling recommendations for machining operations
CNC G-code programming training for team members
Equipment scheduling and maintenance collaboration
Metrology tool utilization for part measurement
Complex setups and programming for various operations
Qualifications:
5+ years of machining/manufacturing programming experience
Mastery of CNC programming and Mastercam X++
Knowledge of SolidWorks 2013+ and Vericut 7.4+
Strong communication and coaching abilities
Strategic planning of programming tasks
Experience with CNC Vertical/Horizontal machining and turning centers
