We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Deputy Project Manager to join our team. As a Deputy Project Manager, you will work closely with the project manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of projects. With your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask, you will play a crucial role in ensuring project success and maintaining effective communication among project stakeholders.Responsibilities:Project Coordination: Assist the project manager in coordinating project activities, including project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress and ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication among project team members and stakeholders. Schedule and organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes. Distribute project updates and status reports to keep stakeholders informed.Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with the project manager. Monitor and track project risks throughout the project lifecycle and escalate issues as necessary.Documentation and Reporting: Assist in maintaining project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and deliverables. Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation is accessible to the project team.Quality Assurance: Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and align with project requirements. Conduct quality checks and perform reviews to identify and address any issues or deviations.Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and positive team environment. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (i.e., communication, training, data, IT specialists) to ensure effective collaboration and timely completion of project tasks. Support team members by providing guidance, resources, and problem-solving assistance.Change Management: Assist in managing project scope changes and assessing their impact on project timelines, resources, and budget. Collaborate with the project manager and stakeholders to identify and implement necessary adjustments.Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of project management processes, methodologies, and tools. Identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative solutions.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or a related role.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project).Detail-oriented mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile) and best practices.Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Pluses:Relevant certifications (e.g., CAPM, PMP).Experience in the field of community resilience or emergency management.Experience working on federal government programs.Salary is based on $100,000 per year plus fringe benefits.Work locations: government offices, Links Global offices, and work remotely. (A telework schedule will need to be authorized).Travel: Less than 10% non-local travel is anticipated.
