The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating user-centric designs that enhance client experience and differentiate Wellington from competitors. This role requires a skilled design eye, a collaborative creative nature, and a willingness to tackle any design challenge, no matter the output.Roles and ResponsibilitiesCreate on-brand marketing collateral for our clients and prospects: design layouts and edits; photo research, purchasing, and editing; icon sourcing and design; development of new infographics and data visualization; production; archival of final files.Design across media, including output for: digital brochure PDFs; printed handouts; print and digital advertising; social media imagery; trade show exhibits; online events; flyers; and digital experiences.Help create and maintain the templates, image libraries, style sheets, and components that make it possible for our global designers and agencies to express the same visual language, efficiently and at scale.Implement our brand standards and design systems that help provide our clients with clear, consistent, and professional visual identity across regions and channels. This may include refining or expanding components to address gaps and updating style guides to add, update or retire components.Participate in positive, collaborative, cross-team knowledge-sharing to promote awareness of design processes, best practices, software skills, areas of potential efficiencies, and innovations through technology.Partner with designers, editors, developers, operations, key business stakeholders, and vendors to gather requirements and objectives, workshop ideas, promote the benefits of brand standards and visual consistency, iterate on design solutions, and guide distributed teams.QualificationsA positive temperament and willingness to learn during every project; the ability and organization to balance multiple priorities and seek clarification when needed; the grace to accept feedback; the drive to create better solutions as a result of those additional perspectives; and the flexibility to adapt when company priorities shift.Advanced understanding of typography, layout, color, with a clean, refined aesthetic.5+ years of designing for B-to-B, within a regulated industry (finance, pharma, healthcare, energy), or other content- and data-heavy materials.Software: Advanced to expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), and PowerPoint. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel. Familiarity with Turtl, Figma, Flourish, or Animate.Familiarity with one or more of the following: designing for accessibility, data visualization, design operations, storyboards and animation, user experience and journeys, user research, wireframes, UI design.A basic understanding of financial terms and concepts.Portfolio, website, or other work samples required.A note to applicants: while we have outlined the key qualifications for this role, we understand that no candidate is perfectly qualified for any job. The base salary range for this position is: USD 65,000 - 150,000.
