LinkPurpose:The APP Psychiatry and Mental Health Fellowship is an immersive 12-month program focusing on mental health in underserved populations. It aims to support the development of clinical decision-making and specialized skills through didactics and clinical experiences.Structure and Supervisory RelationshipsFellowship Psychiatric Program Director: Judy Evenson, PMHNP-BCFellowship Psychiatric Associate Program Director: Jason Ipsarides, DNP, PMHNP-BC & Anna Melville, DNP, PMHNP-BCFellowship Education Coordinator: Jean WitteFellowship Physician Champion: Himanshu Agrawal, MBBS, MDFellowship Expectation and Learning Outcomes:Advanced Assessment: Elicits, selects, and integrates information for patients with acute, critical, and/or complex chronic illnesses.Differential Diagnosis: Prioritizes real and potential conditions based on available data.Outcomes Identification: Formulates goals using scientific evidence consistent with patient's wishes and capabilities.Plan of Care: Develops outcomes-focused plan with an interprofessional team.Implementation of Treatment: Identifies and prescribes therapeutic interventions.Evaluation of Care: Ongoing evaluation of plan of care, making modifications as needed.CORE ADVANCED PRACTICE RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs comprehensive histories and psychiatric assessments.Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.Develops treatment plans.Monitors plan effectiveness.Educates patients on disease and treatment.Performs procedures as credentialed.Documents in EMR.Collaborates with healthcare providers.Educates patients and families.Position Requirements:Nurse PractitionersCompletion of an accredited NP Master's or Doctoral ProgramMust possess National Board Certification as NPLicensure as NP in WisconsinEligible for DEA licensureAcceptable background checkPhysician Assistants/AssociatesCompletion of an accredited PA master's programPossess NCCPA certificationLicensure as PA in WisconsinEligible for DEA licensureAcceptable background checkApplication DetailsApplication Deadlines - March 31, 2024Anticipated Start Date - September 1, 2024Materials required:Curriculum Vitae / ResumeEducation Transcript for NP/PA educationCopy of BCLSThree reference lettersOne-page statement of interest*Email materials if unable to attach
