Palm Avenue DetoxWho are we?Horizon Services, Inc. (HSI) is a nonprofit established in 1974 offering addiction treatment with the goal of reducing substance use related challenges for people from all walks of life. We provide residential treatment, withdrawal management, and sobering programs to support the well-being of diverse clients.This position is responsible for collaborating with the Program Manager to create a welcoming atmosphere for incoming clients, performing intakes/admissions, assessments, treatment plans, monitoring client progress, and maintaining documentation per organization's guidelines.PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure daily census requirements are met by performing client admissions, transfers, assessments, referrals, and discharges dailyCommunicate daily with Clinical Supervisor and Program Manager to ensure services align with department policyMaintain a positive, welcoming approach with all clients at the Detoxification CenterPerform ASAM screening and assessment at intakePerform vitals sign patient self-monitoring tasks as neededDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with staff and community organizationsCoordinate with program Case Manager for post-discharge treatmentAttend all required meetings and maintain a clean environmentDrive program vehicle when necessaryConfer with staff and other individuals regarding participantsPerform any other assigned dutiesAdhere to confidentiality requirements as governed by HIPAA and 42 CFRQUALIFICATIONS:
Registration or Certification with Substance Use state certifying body in California (CAADE/CCAPP/CADTP) or California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an AMFT or ASWAt least one year working in a direct or closely related field (e.g., Mental Health or High-Risk Population)Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package to full-time and part-time employees over 20 hours per week, including medical, dental, Life and LTD coverage, PTO, Holiday pay, retirement benefits, training, and CEU opportunities.Salary:
