The Strategic Planning Analyst will serve as an integral member of the Finance & Acquisition team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

Work closely with the Director, Strategic Planning, and other team members on daily activities of the Strategic Planning group.

Assist in various corporate planning evaluations including preparation of quarterly and ad hoc forecasts, development of the five-year strategic plan, and running various sensitivities.

Work closely with various internal departments, including Development & Operational Planning, Accounting, Marketing, and Reservoir Engineering to gather and maintain assumptions and ensure consistency of information used for internal and external use.

Manage corporate model and net asset valuation updates and analyze current and historical data to determine the accuracy of forecast assumptions.

Prepare various reports for NFG Finance, NFG Investor Relations, Accounting, and operational teams to ensure consistency of forecast information used among various groups.

Conduct regular reviews of forecast versus actual performance during the current fiscal year.

Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior Company executives, the Board of Directors, Rating Agencies, and the Wall Street community.

Review investor presentations to senior management, including quarterly strategic meetings and the Annual Budget process.

Support Corporate Development on strategic alternative analyses such as acquisitions, divestitures, and financing opportunities (joint ventures, royalty trusts, MLPs, etc.).

Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards, and procedures and demonstrates active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs.

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business or Finance, and preferably two (2) years of relevant work experience in the energy industry, ideally in E&P, in areas such as Investment Banking, Corporate Planning, FP&A, Accounting, Corporate Finance or Consulting.
