Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and manage McCarthy's labor force to achieve optimum performanceCommunicate, report and promptly resolve any issues with the project managerChair weekly subcontractor coordination meetingsAssist Project Manager in development of Chart of AccountsAssist in development and management of a detailed CPM ScheduleAssist in development of Detailed Scope of WorkDevelop a project site logistics planMaintain a thorough understanding of contract documentsReview and understand material budgets and negotiate purchase ordersReview and understand equipment budgets and negotiate rental ratesMonitor project costs and identify areas for improvementProvide leadership in quality processProvide leadership in the safety and accident prevention programsDocument daily construction activitiesIssue and maintain short term schedulesAssist Project Engineers in Shop Drawing and Submittal processVerify that As-Built drawings are kept currentAssist Estimating in bidding opportunities and Preconstruction servicesImplement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, and/or 7-10 years of applicable field leadership experienceExperience with relevant large scale commercial, healthcare, education or industrial projectsExtensive experience directing and coordinating tradesStrong working relationships with subcontractors, architect and owners.Knowledge of construction principles/practices requiredSelf-perform construction management experience highly preferredPrevious experience working with the Project Management team to ensure a successful completionExcellent organizational, team management, problem solving, motivational skillsMcCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer regardless of race, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious beliefs, marital status, genetic information, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.For California locations only, the salary range for this position is: $125,000 - $165,000.
