The Role

The Senior Data Engineer/Analyst (SDEA) reports to the Chief Product and Data Officer and supports the maturation of the data and analytics practice for the North American Connected Store (CS) team. The core responsibility of the SDA is to collect, normalize, and analyze CS data sets and report findings and insights back to internal and external clients. Secondarily, the SDEA works within the large CS data and analytics practice supporting the development of the global program.

Responsibilities

Partner with the global data and analytics team in defining best practices for data collection, storage and transformation.Support the global practice to ensure compliance to data, security, and privacy requirements and assist the organization in completing necessary compliance audits.Lead the effort in NA to identify 1st and 3rd party data assets necessary to fully report on CS campaign effectiveness and provide meaningful insights into optimization opportunities and to inform future strategies.Lead the North America ETL practice.Participate in data modelling exercises to fully understand the models used in practice, add value where possible, and be prepared to support clients in understanding the models employed and our confidence in them.Build dashboards and presentations to visualize campaign performance.Join client calls and lead the review of campaign findings and insights.AdhocAny other reasonable request from management including particular projects as and when neededQualifications

3-5 years previous experience in a similar roleExperience with Azure, GCP and/or AWSPython/R/SPSS/Matlab/StataAnalytically mindedMicrosoft ExcelTableau, PowerBI, Looker, Datorama or other similar analytics dashboarding techGoogle AnalyticsExperience with SOX and ISO compliance a bonusBachelor's degree in either Mathematics, Computer science, Statistics, Economics or Business ScienceAbility to come into the New York office three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
