This means nurturing team spirit, facing challenges together, collaboratively solving complex problems, while also ensuring a strong focus on individual initiative, accountability, and delivery.Your RoleWork closely with the CSO and the rest of the Translational Sciences and Computation Biology and Bioinformatics teams, contribute to the development of the Precede scientific strategy including the identification of key scientific questions that need to be prioritizedOwn the development of the strategy in cancer pathways and the development of blood-based epigenomic approaches to measure cancer hallmarks and networks as defined together with the CSO and translational teamCollaborate to design and drive the execution of impactful studies that assess the utility of Precede’s unique epigenomic liquid biopsy platform to inform drug development and clinical decision-makingDevelop and maintain collaborative partnerships with investigators and biopharmaceutical companies, working together with CSO, the head of external research and partnerships, and the business development teamContribute to the analysis, interpretation, and communication of scientific and clinical data, including communication at major scientific meetingsDeepen our knowledge of the science of current and future potential epigenomic assays and conduct diligence to understand the evolving landscape of diagnostics and biomarkersEstablish strong cross-functional relationships to enable superior performance against scientific and company objectives, including team members across computational biology, assay development, business development, and operationsWho You AreGreat teammate who is passionate about impacting the lives of others positivelyM.D. or Ph.D. with a focus on cancer biology or a related fieldExtensive knowledge of cancer hallmarks and networks such as EMT, cell death, senescence, epigenomic drivers, DNA damage, and immuno-oncology and inflammation among others.Knowledgeable and applied experience in epigenomics and translational research including histone biology, methylation, and fragmentomicsPublished author with a track record of peer-reviewed publications and presentationsBuilder of effective relationships with internal teams and external partners in academia, industry, and regulatory agencies to enable effective strategy development and executionStrategic and operational thinker with a strong bias for actionThere is no job too big or too small; you have a resourceful “roll up your sleeves” approach to your work; you prioritize team success; and you set a high standard for yourself and othersWe believe in building an inclusive and balanced team.
