Responsibilities
Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.
The Enterprise Cloud Architect is responsible for providing services, workloads and use-cases for our Oracle customers. Strong technology exposure is a must, blended with strong pre-sales/sales acumen. You will be a part of highly skilled cloud engineers that blend proven experience and deep subject matter expertise to solve the hardest customer issues in the context of strategic sales engagements. The teams’ responsibilities include thoroughly understanding customers’ business requirements, leading the technical pursuits required to gather cloud bookings and assisting in the customer adoption of Oracle’s Cloud capabilities.
You will have a unique perspective based on technology trends and business drivers and contribute to key business decisions and customer engagement strategies and initiatives. S/he must develop a comprehensive strategy and get results by:
Engaging with customers to provide unique domain expertise, co-design products and solutions
Help Customers transform and evolve their business with OCI IaaS and PaaS services.
Define product strategy and go-to-market (GTM) model, helping bring the industry value proposition to life for customers.
Use domain expertise and analyze industry trends to advise product roadmaps, create GTM design and coordinate as needed for emerging products.
Year one critical success factors
Develop strong relationships with the relevant Sales, Product Management and Engineering teams.
Mastery of Oracle Cloud services.
Successfully engaged with some of the largest and most strategic accounts and land several meaningful and sizable technical wins.

What can you expect / What will you do?
Customer Engagement: Collaborate with sales strategy and account teams at some of the most strategic Oracle customers to define the account strategy and multi-cloud journey, build target state architectures and technical proof plan and achieve a technical and commercial win
Influence product and region strategy: Be a customer advocate to the product group. Develop and maintain critical information regarding customer interactions including action items, cadence calls, architectural diagrams, and service requirements to influence product direction, scheduling, and region strategies
Drive Oracle and partnership offering success: Leverage your sales expertise to close deals by demonstrating a deep understanding of cloud solutions, their benefits and the sales process, while balancing interim product and organization goals

Ability to navigate and successfully close complex cloud deals, especially those involving partners, ensuring customer needs are met while aligning with our company’s goals.
Deep understanding on Oracle Cloud and Exadata offerings, including ability to develop compelling business value justification using cloud solutions around a known customer requirement
Ability to collaborate with resources to lead customers from awareness through acceptance. Leading/participation in discovery sessions and producing technical deliverables to move customers through the adoption lifecycle. Collaborating with all internal and external partners to validate proposals and execution plans including implementation and multi-cloud partners.
Ability to work through a complex stakeholder organization managing expectations and parallel objectives. Providing executive level guidance both internally and externally.
Ability to accelerate adoption by navigating through technical and organizational blockers associated with multi-cloud projects. Building relationships with the broader Oracle organizations.
Education
A Computer Science degree is preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.

US: Hiring Range: from $88,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
