Howard University Hospital seeks to hire a
Staff Accountant II
who will embrace our rich and historic tradition of excellence.Hours are: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.Pay Range: $27.31-$43.69The Staff Accountant II:Performs balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, prepares and posts standard journal entries, and performs account analyses to respond to customer inquiries regarding general ledger balancesContributes to the production of HUH’s internal financial report book and responds to standard requests for information during the conduct of HUH’s annual financial statement audit.Maintains and controls the accounting records assignedResponsible for ad hoc reporting, including revenue/expense analyses and pro-forma analyses, as needed.Effectively participates in the financial statement close meeting for the hospitalAssumes other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all-inclusive.A qualified candidate will possess:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.One (1) to three (3) years’ work experience in financial records and analysisHealth care experience desired
