Job Summary (Primary function) We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader for the role of Director of Marketing Operations and Sales Planning. This pivotal position will oversee a diverse range of responsibilities including leading the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review team, managing the Conventions Associate Director, planning and executing sales meetings, overseeing sponsorships and exhibits, and managing promotional materials. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of operational expertise, marketing acumen, and leadership skills to drive our marketing initiatives forward in a compliant and impactful manner. Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities) 1. Leadership and Team Management: Lead the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review team to ensure all marketing materials comply with regulatory requirements and company standards. o Management of all processes guiding the review/approval of all commercial promotional materials across all Incyte therapeutic areas. Manage the Conventions Associate Director and their team, overseeing strategy, logistics, and execution of conventions and related events. o Oversight and implementation of the companys national/regional/local medical congresses, forums, etc. Includes logistics management, commercial/medical booth management, and other relevant responsibilities. Provide guidance and mentorship to the marketing operations team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. 2. Sales Planning and Execution: Plan and coordinate sales meetings, ensuring alignment with sales strategies and objectives. Collaborate closely with sales leadership to develop meeting agendas, content, and logistics to maximize effectiveness and engagement. 3. Sponsorships and Exhibits: Oversee the strategy and execution of sponsorships and exhibits at industry conferences, ensuring alignment with marketing and sales goals. o Develop and manage all related application and approval processes. Manage budget allocation, vendor relationships, and post-event evaluations to optimize ROI. 4. Promotional Materials Management: Supervise the development, production, and distribution of promotional materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and brand standards. Implement processes for efficient review, approval, and dissemination of marketing collateral across relevant departments. 5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, and Compliance to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives. Drive alignment on marketing strategy, messaging, and tactics to achieve business objectives. Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency) Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred). 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, sales planning, or related roles within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry. Proven track record of successfully managing teams and driving cross-functional projects to completion. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and processes related to medical, legal, and promotional review in healthcare. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans and initiatives. Ability to perform/prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Concise oral communications and writing ability. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines. Working knowledge of pharmaceutical advertising submission requirements. Working knowledge of FDA promotional regulations a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in ZincMAPS or Veeva (PromoMATS).
