We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in our New Haven, CT or Manchester, CT office. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of managing complex transportation projects from inception to completion, demonstrating strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of transportation planning, design, and construction.

This position will report to our New Haven, CT or Manchester, CT office, but your location is up to you! Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead and oversee transportation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of engineers, planners, and other professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules effectively to maximize project profitability.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure projects meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, making proactive decisions to ensure project success.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and expertise in transportation planning, design, and construction.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication among project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and regulatory authorities.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Connecticut Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation project management.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation planning, design, and construction principles.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microstation, and OpenRoads is preferred
  • Proficiency with preparing proposals and project budgets is required
  • Experience with CTDOT project design requirements and plan preparation guidelines required; experience in other New England states is a plus.
