consists of two 16 bed inpatient units focusing on the care of hematology and medical oncology patients. Care provided includes a wide range of acuity levels of patients on the cancer care continuum.What You Will Do:Competently practice and adhere to the guidelines specified in the UMMC Professional Nurse Job Charter.Independently provide and coordinate care for patients within a clinical specialty.Serve as a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team.This nurse will demonstrate and model the full range of nursing professional practice in both care provided and participation in the development of strategies to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction with service, and cost-effectiveness at the unit level.Minimum Requirements:Graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required.If graduate is completing the initial examination: testing must be completed within 90 days of the date that the graduate completed the school nursing program.University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) is committed to improving health outcomes for communities across Maryland and supporting new community college graduates seeking careers in health care.
