Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center . The Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center Hematology and Medical Oncology unit consists of two 16 bed inpatient units focusing on the care of hematology and medical oncology patients. Care provided includes a wide range of acuity levels of patients on the cancer care continuum, ranging from initial diagnosis and treatment to disease-related symptom management and pain control, long-term survivorship, or end of life.What You Will Do:We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) who will be competent in the skills/knowledge required and fully participate in unit governance.Independently provides and coordinates care provided to patients within a clinical specialty.Serves as a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team.We are a close-knit unit that works as a team.Nurses are viewed as colleagues in our partnership with the medical team with a multi-discipline approach to care, working with physicians, social workers, pharmacists, and nurse practitioners.Our patient ratio during the day shift is 3:1. You will have the opportunity to build relationships with families and many times patients will return to the unit to give updates and say Thank You.Many of our staff have worked together for more than ten years.Minimum Requirements:Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to compact state requirements outlined by the Maryland Board of Nursing.Less than one year of experience as a registered nurse.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
