The Denver office of SmithGroup is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join our team.
Working with us, you will:
Lead the design efforts for all stages of a project, including leadership with the client, contractors, and internal team.Assist in management of projects through developing project scope, schedules, job production, quality, and fee management.Lead programming, conceptualization, development and integration of strategic design solutions.Consult with manufacturers, research and evaluate materials.Document architectural drawings.Assist in construction administration including responding to RFI's, preparing sketches and addendums (CCD's), and visiting the construction site to gather information and/or prepare a punch list.Oversee the design work of others to ensure integrated and cohesive design, supervise preparation of drawings for all project phases, and ensure guidelines, quality control, standards and details.Lead all phases of the design process including programming and developing workplace standards.Mentor junior staff and participate in performance coaching.Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process as requested.The ideal candidate has:
A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent.Minimum 10 years of related experience.LEED AP preferred. Architectural or Interior Design registration required.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign programs.Technical competence and proven experience in schematic design through construction documents.The ability to contribute and participate in an interdisciplinary team environment.
SmithGroup's competitive compensation and benefit package is designed to meet the needs of a diverse staff. The anticipated salary range for this position is $89,0000 to $110,000 annually, at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for this position. Additionally, an employee in this position is eligible for a performance-based bonus on an annual basis. Our comprehensive benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances. We provide an opportunity to invest in your future through our 401(k) program with employer matching and a continuing education reimbursement. We offer 3 weeks of paid time off within the first year of employment, with the option of purchasing additional time off, 8 paid federal holidays, and parental leave benefits. SmithGroup also promotes a healthy work/life balance for our staff which includes an alternative work schedule that provides employees with an additional 15 days off per year (usually Fridays), as well as hybrid work options that give our team the flexibility to work within our vibrant office culture or remotely, as needed.
