careers.dpsk12.org .**Essential Functions and Objectives:Responsible for end-to-end HR service delivery to designated departments / functions. Manages District activities which engage schools, businesses, community leaders and organizations in a collaborative effort to improve student performance. Cultivate, nurture and sustain partnerships between DPS schools and the Denver community. Work in partnership with DPS Central Office to provide coaching, support and influence that enable key clients to effectively deliver district solutions.Partners in strategy development; Provides advice and consultative services to managers and employees.Provide counsel and assistance to central office managers and directors on a broad range of human resource issues.
Plan and facilitate professional development for principals on leadership and human resources topics.
Identify gaps in existing HR policies and contribute to the development of new HR policies and procedures.Proactively consult, influence and negotiate with Trade Union Officials on local and company wide issues.
Provide HR Business Partner support to the key Central Office areas.Manage assigned staff and programs designed to improve the achievement and performance of central office employees.
Work collaboratively with the members of the Superintendent’s Cabinet, staff, and community to attain district goals.
Create HR communication and change initiatives that go out to all employees from Human Resources.Maintain current on all aspects of HR policy, benefits, information or events.Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:Three (3) or more years experience as an HR Business Partner or related role.Work collaboratively with others on a team.Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multicultural environment with district and school leaders, faculty, staff and students.Effective communication skills.Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines.Effective time management and organizational skills.Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail.The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.Knowledge of community resources and organizations that might form educational partnerships.Ability to work with people at all levels and diverse cultural backgrounds within the Denver Public Schools as well as key external organizations, students, parents/guardians and the community at large.Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides.Ability to manage conflict and ability to respond creatively to challenges.Strong interpersonal communication skills.Strong problem solving skills.Strategic HR Partnership.Employee / Labor Relations.
Education Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required.
