The Event-Pipeline team is the owner of Klaviyo's real-time data pipeline, facilitating the seamless and reliable ingestion, processing, and movement of billions of data points per day that powers Klaviyo's core functionalities. We design and implement data pipelines and frameworks that feed our Analytics system.Responsibilities
As a software engineer II on the team, you will be responsible for implementing and testing software using existing design/architectural specifications. You will also be responsible for generating required documentation and deployment/maintenance of the software/service in production.Team Tech Stack: Python/Django/Flask, GRPC/Protobufs, Kubernetes, Kafka, Apache Pulsar, Redis, AWS, AirflowRequired Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experienceMust have 3 to 4 years of experience in software development life cycle including implementation, testing using existing design and specificationsSolid programming skills in Python and experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask.Familiarity with distributed systems and messaging frameworks like Kafka, Apache Pulsar, or similar technologies.Experience with CI/CD, production deployment, and maintenanceStrong knowledge of computer science fundamentalsQuick learner with proven ability to come up to speed quicklyPreferred Skills
Experience working with SQL databasesExperience with AWS services (S3/EKS/EMR)Exposure to large-scale distributed systemsKnowledge of data storage and caching solutions, including Redis.The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.
