We are Hiring at University HospitalLocation: 530 S Jackson St. Louisville KY, 40202Shift Options: FULL-TIME NIGHTS 7P-7AAbout the Unit9 East is a 25-bed ortho/neuro trauma unit. This unit cares for trauma patients who had surgery to stabilize broken bones from an injury along with trauma downgrades from the intensive care units. Patients for this unit typically came from the Emergency Room, Surgery and intensive care units. Pre operative and post operative nursing care is common on this unit. This unit is comprised of private and semi-private patient rooms.Responsibilities:Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.Qualifications:Required QualificationsActive Kentucky registered nurse license or compact license with privileges to work in KentuckyAssociate degree in nursing from an accredited college or universityBasic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)All new graduate RNs will participate in the nurse residency program and successfully complete all activities as required.All new-hire Associate degree registered nurses (new graduate and experienced) are required to start an approved BSN program within one (1) year of hire and complete an approved BSN program within three (3) years of hire.
