OB-GYN Practice in need of an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP).The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing high quality care and treatment for patients in need of obstetrics or gynecology services. NPs perform a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and also enhance coordination of care and patient satisfaction. This role exemplifies professionalism, excellence and leadership in a clinical care setting.Experience in esthetic is a plus.Supervisory Responsibilities: N/AReports to: Divisional Physicians and Practice AdministratorFLSA Status: ExemptESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide patient-centered care that enhances patient satisfaction and ensures continuity of care.Conduct physical exams and provide education and counseling on preventative care and family planning.Provide OB/GYN-specific care such as evaluating and managing common gynecological conditions and prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care.Diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, and write prescriptions.Provide help and support to other clinical staff and/or physicians, as necessary. RequirementsRequired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of principles and practices of health care planning and execution sufficient to provide effective patient care.Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a clinic sufficient to provide effective patient care. Thorough knowledge of office policies and procedures to accurately answer questions from patients and staff.Knowledge of diagnostic equipment and procedures.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.Knowledge and correct usage of medical terminology.Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, Microsoft Office, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology (preferred).Ability to navigate and effectively use EMR. Knowledge and experience with Centricity EMR system is preferred.Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions. Ability to move and manipulate patients, as needed.Ability to organize and integrate organizational priorities and deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.Ability to effectively and clearly communicate in writing, over the telephone, and in person with physicians, office staff, and patients.Ability to work as part of a team and promote a positive work environment.Ability to listen and understand information and ideas and adjust actions accordingly.Ability to maintain professional attire.Ability to complete continued education/training requirements.Ability to report to work on time and as scheduled.Ability to represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.Ability to apply feedback, participate in performance improvement, and continuous quality improvement activities.Skilled in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgement, discretion, and logical decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
