The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism and excellent communication skills to foster and contribute to a collegial environment, with the primary focus of providing outstanding care to our patients and their familiesResponsibilities:Facilitates an exceptional patient care experience by ensuring and assisting patient flow within UofL Health, attending to needs of patients, their families and medical staffPrepares patient for physician visit: obtains and documents appropriate vital signs and health history information in Electronic Health Record Cerner and Epic.Clinical duties may include: Checks vital signs, Give injections (including immunizations), Medication administration, breathing treatments, dressings, vision/hearing testing, suture removal, patient education and assisting physician with procedures, Distributes/educates regarding home spacers and nebulizersDocuments, records, and reports necessary patient informationOther Functions:Assist patients with any paperwork necessary for the visitAssists with follow up calls to families regarding visits/proceduresProvides excellent, clear documentation in every area of UofL Health. All documentation is done in the Electronic Health Record, either by entry or by scanning documentsWorks closely with physicians to ensure patient and family needs are met in an expeditious mannerMaintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conductComplies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all timesPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Education:Graduate of an accredited RN program (required)Experience:Minimum of two years clinical experience (required)Experience in a physicians office or hospital settingLicensure:Active Kentucky Registered Nurse License or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky (required)Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
