Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are seeking a Robot Validation Engineer experienced in integration and validation of complex electromechanical systems. This person will be pivotal in integration and debugging of the full robotic system and subsystems.
Responsibilities:
Assume a pivotal role in commissioning, validating, and troubleshooting the robotMaintain detailed documentation of integration processes, test procedures, and test resultsUnderstanding of how different subsystems (Controls, Electrical, Software, Mechanical) interact, and where they commonly have issuesImplement corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrenceConduct thorough testing and validation of repairs to ensure functionality and reliabilityCollaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve integration issuesProvide comprehensive training and technical support to fellow team membersRequirements:
Degree in electrical, mechanical, controls, or electromechanical systems3+ years of experience in electromechanical debugging, testing, and repairProficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes)Strong understanding of electromechanical systems driven by softwareFamiliarity with torque tools and mechanical assembly best practicesFamiliarity with Linux and version control systems (e.g., Git)Bonus Qualifications:
Experience with CATIA V6Experience with designing and executing test plans for real robotsAbility to code in C++ and/or PythonAbility to write and execute scripts for automated testing and validationUnderstanding of AI systems and how they are implemented
