Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Epic Beaker Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the configuration, testing, and optimization of the Epic Beaker module, which is an integral part of our laboratory information management system. The successful candidate will collaborate with laboratory staff, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective utilization of the Beaker system to streamline laboratory workflows and enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with laboratory staff and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for Epic Beaker module implementations, enhancements, and optimizations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Participate in the configuration, testing, and implementation of Beaker system changes, including laboratory test setups, workflows, and result reporting processes, to support efficient and effective laboratory operations.

Provide end-user support, troubleshooting issues, and conducting training sessions as needed to ensure efficient and effective use of the Beaker system by laboratory personnel, fostering user adoption and proficiency.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance system functionality, usability, and performance, leveraging best practices and industry standards.

Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation, including system configuration guides, user manuals, and training materials, to support effective system utilization and knowledge transfer across the organization.

Stay current with industry trends and developments in laboratory information management, laboratory testing methodologies, and healthcare information technology to inform system optimizations and enhancements, contributing to the organization's strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.

3+ years of experience working in laboratory operations or healthcare information systems, with a strong understanding of laboratory processes and workflows.

Familiarity with laboratory information systems, preferably Epic Beaker or similar EHR platforms, is preferred but not required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, effectively addressing operational challenges and improving workflow efficiency.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including laboratory technologists, administrators, IT professionals, and external vendors.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines, maintaining accuracy and consistency in system configuration and documentation.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment, adapting to changing priorities and effectively managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
