Compensation : $56.34 - $56.34 Hourly Client Job Ref ID : 140528 Shift Description : Day shifts Travel Nurse - Med/Surg Mequon, Wisconsin, United States - 53097Job Title: Travel Nurse - Medical/Surgical Number of positions: 1 Shift: Day shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 06/20/2023 JOB DESCRIPTION Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Roles & Responsibilities Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. QUALIFICATIONS Acuity Adaptable Unit - RN Med/Surg will be taking care of medical/surgical overflow patients, will take an ICU or Step Down RN if willing to have a medical/surgical assignment up to a 1:5 ratio. No artificial/acrylic nails and nails must be short ( Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. Minimum of 2 years of Experience as a Travel Register Nurse. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Requirements: COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
