Provide health care services to Harbor Light detox and program clients according to professional standards and The Salvation Army Harbor Light Policies and Procedures.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Manage all inquires with regards to information, referral, and/or possible admissionConduct pre-admission screenings of potential clients for detoxification services, schedule detoxification admissions according to Harbor Light admission criteriaConduct client admissions/discharges to detoxification and residential programs, including completion of all required medical documentsProvide general health care of clients which includes but is not necessarily limited to: a) administering and recording medications as prescribed by attending physicians, b) perform vital sign checks and document resultsTake appropriate action as directed by attending physician to ensure clients medical stability and in cases of emergency facilitate assistance per Harbor Light protocol.Assist Medical Director or designate in the provision of medical servicesWork with the treatment team to maintain order, discipline, and a substance free environmentAttend all required staff meetings; training sessions, seminars and/or workshops for staff developmentMaintain records, charts, logs and all other pertinent data for the medical unit on a daily basis
Required Qualifications:Must have and maintain a current valis Practical Nurse (PN) or Registered Nurse (RN)Basic life support (BLS) certification
