**Forklift Operator - Production****Location:** Lodi, CA, US **Day-to-Day Role:*** Load assorted production into trailers for shipping. The shipper will take bill-of-ladings specifying trailer and products to be loaded; Shipper will operate a forklift or squeeze lift for loading. The shipper is responsible for ensuring any special instructions on the bill-of-ladings are followed; Shipper may have to make load adjustments to ensure priority shipments are completed. After loading is complete Shipper will return the checked-off bill-of-lading.* Receive and unload film and corrugated board from outside vendors. The incumbent will place incoming materials in appropriate storage areas.* Load scrap materials to include cardboard, film, and cores. The incumbent will properly dispose of packing/shipping materials.* Unload non-hazardous materials.* Coordinate with Shift Supervisor regarding shipping needs.* Change forklift and squeeze lift batteries as necessary.* Perform general housekeeping and area cleanliness; sweeps trailers prior to loading.* Perform relevant duties as assigned by supervisor including providing backup support as Material Handler in the Production department.* Responsible for product safety, quality, and legality by following all departmental practices and company policies.**Core Skills & Qualifications**The ideal candidate will have the following:* One (1) year work experience in shipping receiving to include loading and unloading product into/from trailers in a warehouse environment or distribution center.* One (1) year of work experience with a global tracking system that uses a barcode scanning device.* Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license for internal candidates.* Good arithmetic skills.* Ability to utilize equipment, tools, and supplies necessary for the fulfillment of responsibilities.
