As a NP for Obstetrics/Gynecology, you will provide comprehensive care to women across the lifespan, specializing in reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. You will collaborate with our team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.Responsibilities:1. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' reproductive health, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests.2. Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling on contraception, family planning, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other women's health issues.3. Perform routine gynecological examinations, including Pap smears, breast exams, and pelvic exams.4. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as ultrasound, blood tests, and genetic screenings.5. Diagnose and treat common gynecological conditions, such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, and menopause-related symptoms.6. Manage prenatal care for pregnant patients, including prenatal screenings, monitoring fetal development, and educating patients about pregnancy nutrition and self-care.7. Assist with labor and delivery, providing support to laboring mothers and monitoring maternal and fetal well-being.8. Provide postpartum care, including lactation support, newborn care education, and monitoring maternal recovery.9. Collaborate with obstetricians, gynecologists, midwives, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.10. Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.11. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.12. Stay current with advances in obstetrics/gynecology practice by attending continuing education programs, workshops, and conferences.Requirements1. Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.2. Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Women's Health or Family Health.3. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of practice.4. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.5. Advanced knowledge of obstetric and gynecological principles, practices, and procedures preferred.6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare team members.7. Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions in a fast-paced clinical setting.8. Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy, sensitivity, and cultural competence.9. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare technology platforms.
