Our rheumatology department seeks a skilled and motivated Rheumatologist to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional rheumatologic care.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced rheumatologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to diagnose and manage patients with rheumatic diseases, providing high-quality care and education to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed histories and physical examinations.

Diagnose and manage various rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune diseases.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, recommending therapies, and coordinating care with other healthcare providers.

Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures relevant to rheumatology.

Educate patients and their families about disease processes, treatment options, and preventive measures.

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Participate in clinical research and stay updated with the latest advancements in rheumatology.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical activities.

Qualifications:

Medical degree from an accredited medical school.

Completion of an accredited residency in internal medicine.

Completion of a fellowship in rheumatology.

Board certification in rheumatology.

State medical license in good standing.

Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing rheumatic diseases.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to continuing education and professional development.

$200,000 Starting Salary.

Potential for profit sharing from our in-house infusion center in the future.

Well-trained medical assistants and LPNs, as well as a highly skilled and efficient staff member dedicated to prior authorizations - low staff turnover rates.

Four-day work week.

16 patients per day.

EMR: Epic

Huge referral base - COPC employs over 400 primary care providers, but we also accept referrals from outside of COPC (OhioHealth, Mount Carmel, OSU)
