The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly analytical, and intensely detailed with a strong customer focus and perspective to drive strategy in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.This role will partner closely with the business and other technical stakeholders to understand the data-needs of the team and ensure that the business teams are able to answer hard questions with real data. This individual will participate in business reviews and new-initiatives. Our team owns Speed and Revenue Management for NA AIR. We work closely with several other teams including Network Planning which manages flight schedules and network connectivity, Customer Data and Analytics , and Central Capacity and Labor Planning to optimize capacity and costs. Together we aim to maximize revenue and operational efficiency through collaboration, data analysis, automation, and innovation. Our goal is ensuring the right capacity at the right time to deliver an outstanding customer experience.Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of SQL experience- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.- Experience with AWS technologies- 10+ years of professional or military experience- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining- Bachelor's Degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative fieldPreferred Qualifications- Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadershipAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
