Data Platform Engineer (Snowflake & DBT)
Job Description

As the lead of the Data Platform Engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the overall team's execution including processes to ensure a consistent and optimal use of our data technologies for various customer facing applications. This is a "hands-on" position requiring very effective technical skills, leadership skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.
ResponsibilitiesWork on software development (data) projects within different disciplines which influences multiple areas of the businessWork closely with the product manager, business analyst, and architect to develop the technical design and solutionsAnalyze, code, test, implement, and update existing or new data platform engineering solutionsCoordinate with other team members and provide the tangible end-productUse a process-driven method to approach design solutionsWork collectively with the product owner, program leadership, and others and support them in resolving hitching issuesDevelop/design data models, data flows, and integration patterns for the data systems, like data warehouse, databases, data lake, and usage data layers.Collaborate with fellow data engineers and other architects in building and developing conceptual, logical, and physical modelsIndependently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-endSkills and Qualifications
A minimum of 10+ experienceStrong experience on data modeling for
SnowflakeStrong Experience in development of Lake House Architecture using
Snowflake,
DBTStrong experience in using
DBT
(design & implementation, Infrastructure maintenance)Experience in migrating Microsoft
DW to a Lakehouse solutionExperience in
Docker/ContainersExperience with
CI/CD
for source controlExperience with
JIRAThoughtspot
experience is a plus.Experience with
Airflow, Python, and SQLTechnical proficiency with standards-based data engineering toolsDeep understanding of
Microsoft Azure cloud
and its
data platforms offerings
