Roles & ResponsibilitiesUnit Capacity: 38 BedsPopulation Served: Strokes, Neurological disorders, Brain injuries, Brain Tumors, Spine Injuries, Brain and Spine Surgeries, Seizures, Epilepsy, 3 EMU rooms (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) AMS, Dementia, Neuropsychology/Behavioral Health, Med-surgAges of Patients ServedYoung Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+)Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:6QUALIFICATIONS
Two years RN Hospital experience requiredMin 1 year Neurology experience preferredBasic Life Support (BLS) CertificationNational Institutes of Health (NIH) CertificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) CertificationTrauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) CertificationCrisis Prevention Institute (CPI) CertificationCertification National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Successful completion of a proctored rhythm testRequirements:
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
