The Account Manager will be responsible for coordinating the account administration for institutional trust and custody clients. Maintains the account including record keeping, responds to client inquiries, produces reports and oversees transaction processing.

Foundation and Institutional Advisors (FIA) is a dedicated national practice within Northern Trust exclusively serving nonprofits, endowments, and ERISA clients with a minimum of $10 million in investable assets. The Account Manager works closely and supports the Client Advisor team, who is responsible for managing client relationships and delivering high quality service.

FIA is seeking a driven, proactive, and intellectually curious partner to complement our business and bring value to our clients.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinates the account administration for nonprofit, institutional trust, and custody clients.• Receives service requests from Client Advisors; executes daily client activity, oversees transaction processing, handles inquiry resolution, obtains appropriate documentation, and ensures systems information is up to date.• Monitors account operations and accounting activities to ensure that all necessary reports, documents, tickets, etc. are processed to facilitate client services.• Communicates status updates and resolution of requests and inquiries to clients, partners, and vendors as appropriate and in a timely manner.• Performs virtual or face to face demos on online reporting platforms for new and existing clients.• Documents services provided, specialized procedures, and ongoing written communications with client as appropriate.• Develops clear understanding of client needs and obtains appropriate information from partners and client to facilitate service changes or transactions.• Identifies service efficiency enhancements, process improvements, and service delivery using creative and proactive measures.• Assists Client Advisors with specific projects as needed.

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

• 3-5 years' experience in asset servicing, trust, client servicing, or related fields.• Knowledge of trust, investment operations, and accounting systems.• Highly flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced and changing client-facing work environment.• Ability to think strategically, operate independently, and multitask multiple assignments.• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
