As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of surgical patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality preoperative care, manage surgical instruments and equipment, and maintain a sterile environment. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in facilitating successful surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Preoperative Assessment:
Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to ensure patients are prepared for surgery, addressing any concerns or medical history issues.Surgical Assistance:
Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, including passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and providing necessary equipment and supplies.Patient Advocacy:
Advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical experience, addressing any concerns or changes in the patient's condition promptly.Sterile Technique:
Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room, including proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control protocols.Patient Education:
Provide patients and their families with preoperative and postoperative education to ensure understanding and compliance with care plans.Documentation:
Accurately document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.Team Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth flow of surgical procedures.Emergency Response:
Be prepared to respond to emergency situations during surgery, including code situations, while maintaining composure and following established protocols.Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure proper functioning and availability of surgical equipment and instruments, reporting any malfunctions or deficiencies promptly.Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in state of practiceBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferredCertification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in perioperative nursing or operating room settingStrong understanding of surgical procedures and aseptic techniquesBLS and ACLS certification requiredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentCritical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsBenefits :
