AP / AR Specialist
Position Summary:We are looking for an AP / AR Specialist that thrives in an engaging work environment where there is constant, in-person interaction with people of all levels. The right person for this job is organized and trainable, detail-oriented, reliable, and focused. We offer a clean, hard-working, and fun office environment!This position will play a key role in the Company’s Accounting Department by performing a variety of accounting tasks to ensure the accurate and timely recording of business transactions.This is a full-time / in-office position located at our main office in Mendota Heights, MN.Key Responsibilities:Initiate and process customer billings for construction projects and material sales.Assist in monitoring customer collections and follow up as needed.Work with Project Estimators to resolve any customer billing issues.Process vendor invoices for timely and accurate payment.Work with Company personnel to resolve any vendor payment issues.Prepare and post journal entries as needed.Assist with the preparation of year-end closing and provide audit assistance.Assist with payroll duties as needed.Maintain electronic documentation for all tasks performed.Assist in the preparation of reports and analyses distributed to management.Perform other accounting duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned.Back-up office administrative duties including back up phone coverage.Back-up to front desk (mail, etc.).Preferred Experience/Education:Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar role.Associates or bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field preferred.Knowledge of basic accounting principles.Familiarity with accounting software.Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.Accuracy and attention to detail.Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Educational pursuits beyond high school a plus.Construction background is a plus.Job Expectations:Live up to our company Core Values:Safety:
