General Summary

The Project Manager position will be part of the Project Management Organization. This person will be responsible for assigned projects from feasibility phase through production release. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams in planning and executing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects to meet customer requirements and Rochester Quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Sales, Supplier Development, Quoting, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality organizations to properly assess new product opportunities.
  • Engage customers and stakeholders to determine a clear and accurate scope of proposed projects to meet customer requirements and all associated regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the cross-functional team in creating a Project Plan that includes schedule, budget, resources, risk, and other aspects, as required.
  • Work with cross-functional leadership to determine staffing requirements and commitments for successful project delivery.
  • Manage overall projects to stay on track for scope, schedule, and budget. Exercise change management controls as required.
  • Actively manage project risk throughout the planning and execution of each project.
  • In conjunction with the Project Management team, monitor and report appropriate metrics to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify and drive recovery plans if delays in the project are encountered.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day project activities, action logs, priorities, meetings, and communications, ensuring alignment across all cross-functional teams while optimizing performance at a project level.
  • Serve as the main contact for project communications. Compile regular project statuses for all stakeholders (team, management, etc.) and communicate them through formal and informal presentations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Identify, create, evidence, and train for all required internal process documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on staffing requirements and resource commitments for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and run meetings, as required


PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Bachelor's in engineering or equivalent technical degree (STEM); or other equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years experience as a technical project/program manager and new product development.
  • Experience with or solid understanding of the semiconductor industry.
  • Effective planning and organization skills.
  • Cross-functional team leadership skills.
  • Ability to identify improvement areas based on lessons learned.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable business acumen.
  • Experience in the creation of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and use of MS Project (or equivalent).
