SUMMARY:

AIP is looking for a Grant and Funding Accountant to join the Institute's Finance and Accounting Team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Grant and Funding Accounts Management
  • Maintain, monitor and administer Monday.com for tracking all grant activity for federal and privately funded awards.
  • Assist with all budget reviews for all grants, endowments, and major gifts that require budgets.

Private Grants and Endowments Monitoring:
  • Meet regularly with the Development Team to evaluate the grants pipeline (awarded and upcoming private grants).

Federal Grants Management:
  • Management of pre-award, post-award and close out of all federal grants.
  1. Post-award administration of grants, fiscal compliance, internal and external reporting, indirect administrative costs, invoicing, drawdowns, and collections.
  2. Perform indirect cost rate calculation, submission, and on-going review.
  3. Prepare the required reporting for an A133 audit.

General Grant Accounting Activities:
  • Perform Grants Management Quality Improvement Tasks: Maintain and provide recommendations for the policy and procedure manuals as needed.
  • Perform activities essential to reconciling general ledger accounts. Including general accounting duties such as journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, invoice review and approval.
  • Financial analysis on all Board Designated Funds at AIP
  • Financial analysis relating to AIP Foundation and maintaining dashboards for AIPF and for all grants.
  • Serve as backup support for other accounting team members as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as identified and required.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years' experience.
  • Working knowledge of Monday.com task management software, a plus.
  • Experience using accounting software.
  • Grant Professional Certified (GPC) or commensurate government grants training/certification required.
  • Ability to multitask, handle multiple assignments and priorities, and meet deadlines.
