Qualifications:Education:

Graduate from and approved nursing programBSN preferredExperience:Graduate from and approved nursing programLicense(s)/Certification(s):Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to hire. Advanced Coronary Life Support (ACLS) certification or obtain within 6 months from hire date. Unit specific additional functions will be addressed in the competency checklist. Additional certifications and requirements are unit based. Must obtain NIHSS education within 90 days of hire and maintain every two years thereafter. Completion of eight hours of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually. Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.CPI/MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behaviors) within 6 months from date of hire and maintainKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Machines: Pumps (IV, PCA, Epidural, Feeding), Chest tubes, Suction, IVs, Pulse Oximeter, Ventilators, CRRTAdministrative: Blood transfusion, ET, Infection Control, PT/OT, Inhaler, Order Entry, BLS, ACLS certification of hire.Other:

Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
