The Yale University Department of History intends to appoint a tenure-track assistant professor in Colonial Latin American History, with special attention to applicants specializing in the histories of Mexico or Brazil, to begin on July 1, 2025.Qualifications

Applicants should have strong potential for excellence and achievement in scholarship and in undergraduate and graduate teaching. The successful candidate will offer general and specific courses in Colonial Latin American History. We welcome applications from historians who already hold teaching positions, as well as recent Ph.D.s and those who expect their Ph.D. or equivalent degree by the time of appointment.Application Instructions
