The Director, Accounting and Finance is responsible for overseeing all accounting and finance functions of the organization and will provide accounting and financial control work for the Finance Department. This position ensures compliance with all applicable tax and accounting regulations and manages the preparation and filing of all necessary financial statements. The Director, Accounting and Finance will also plan, develop, implement, and maintain the company’s administrative and financial services and departments, support and promote profitable goals and objectives. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential FunctionsPerform tasks safelyEnsure area housekeeping requirements are metAbide by all OSHA rules and LOGISTEED America, Inc. safety practicesMeet established procedures and productivity, safety and quality standardsMeet attendance & punctuality standardsCommunicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise mannerSupport organization financial objectives by providing financial analyses and recommendations and directing staff.Develop accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations for strategic thinking and direction, and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.Establish accounting operational strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies, designing systems, accumulating resources, resolving problems, and implementing change.Provide financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial information, and advising departments on the collection and analysis of data.Maintain sufficient funds by forecasting cash requirements and obligations.Minimize legally required taxes by studying regulations, presenting tax strategies to management, and filing returns.Implement the Company’s financial policy while managing day to day accounting and oversight of accounting staff and financial vendors.Manage financial accounting and reporting for all client entities, including consolidations and inter-company reconciliations, with recommendations for process improvements.Assist CPA with yearly audit requirements and enter adjusting journal entries.Work with outside CPA firm for reviews, audits and corporate tax preparation.Provide oversight for all areas of fixed asset accounting, including cap-ex and covenant reporting and compliance with policy.Prepare GAAP financial statements for consolidation.Streamline reporting and transaction entries through ERP automation initiatives.Enforce effective treasury management procedures, including timely receivable collections.Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through deployment of compliant business controls and procedures for accounting and treasury.Monitor payroll allocation and volume, ensuring accuracy while proactively identifying and implementing payroll process improvements.Prepare and present all costing information related to inventory control for regional payroll print and delivery operations.Maintain full integrity of all revenues, ensuring organization policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations, are followed.Draft and implement policies and best practices to support achievement of objectives and required standards.Develop procedures that ensure collections are complete and current.Compile fiscal estimates and prepares fiscal reports as requested.Ensure compliance with accounting procedures through observation, supervision, and testing.In collaboration with other executive staff, and skilled and trusted departmental employees, develop, implement, operate, maintain, and control the essential operating systems, information, and financial business of the company.Define and implement key performance indicators and strategic objectives for the division and, as appropriate, the entire organization; facilitates measurement of those objectives, reporting results to the executive team.Draft business plans for new products, services, and markets.Ensure availability of adequate and appropriate equipment, staffing, and systems;
