Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Software Engineer to join our team! In this role you will serve as a Backend Services Developer.
What You'll Be Doing:
Backend Development - Design, develop, and maintain backend services software for the project.
API Development - Create and maintain Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for accessing services and data.
Database Management – Perform database modeling tasks.
Implement database models and CRUD operations.
Security – Implement security measures to safeguard services and data, such as encryption.
Collaboration - Work closely with other members of the software development team to accomplish tasks.
Documentation – Assist with creating documentation describing services design and APIs.
Investigate and resolve defects related to the developed software systems.
Required Skills:
Refer to Job Description for Education and Experience Requirements.
Expert in developing Java Spring Boot applications.
Proficiency with Gradle.
Proficiency with Python programming language.
Proficiency with Git and Git flow model for branching and merging.
Proficiency working with JSON and XML data.
Prior experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and Web Sockets.
Proficiency with SwaggerUI.
Prior experience working with message broker or message queue solutions (ex. Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Prior experience with both SQL databases (ex. PostgreSQL) and Document databases (ex. Elastic Search).
Prior experience working with microservice-based software architectures and container deployment patterns.
Prior experience developing unit tests in JUnit.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work within a fast-paced project team, as well as independently.

Salary Range:
$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
