POSITION REPORTS TO:
Division Director of Humanities and Social Sciences
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of First-Year Writing and Division Director for Humanities and Social Sciences, adjunct faculty receive a one-semester appointment in teaching. Faculty members assess, plan, implement and evaluate instruction for students in online and classroom settings in coordination with established course and program objectives.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Develops, designs, and implements curriculum in classroom and online settings.
Adheres to all applicable university academic and employment policies identified in the Employee and Faculty handbooks and academic catalogs.
Respects the moral and religious beliefs of the university and students; uses discretion when expressing personal beliefs and views.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of First-Year Writing and Division Director for Humanities and Social Sciences.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master’s Degree in English preferred.
Experience:
Experience teaching in higher education preferred.
