An SDR will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of daily calls, prospecting across multiple platforms, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, delivering qualified leads, and ultimately closing sales.ResponsibilitiesSource new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails from your own organic prospecting, from tradeshows, and special projectsUnderstand customer needs and requirementsRoute qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closureResearch accounts, identify key players, and generate interestMaintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territoryTeam with channel partners to build pipeline and close dealsPerform effective online demos to prospectsSucceeding as a Sales Development Representative will require the following core qualifications and skills:Proven sales development experienceTrack record of over-achievingStrong phone presence and experience with executing large outbound call volume, dailyExperience working with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and sales tech toolsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong listening skillsStrong business acumen, and expert negotiationStrong organizational skills, professional maturity, and the ability to think and act strategicallyA highly energetic, trusted, and influential relationship builder that has strong attention to detailAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyMeet quarterly and annual financial targetsEnthusiastically represent TELUS Health in business presentations, relationships, community efforts, and general networking activitiesCommunicate professionally, crisply, and confidentlyMust be able to articulate the TELUS Health business proposition and ROI model passionatelyKnowledge of EAP, the Insurance industry, or group benefits an asset but not requiredA bit about us:We’re a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
