What You Will Contribute:

Engineer II provides product support/sustaining engineering with minimal oversight. This includes but is not limited to performing product and design verification tests, assisting with defining test plans and production implementations, and participating in project teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Provides product support/sustaining engineering with minimal oversightPerform product and design verification testsAssists in defining test plans/production implementationsWrites proceduresInitiates and implements engineering change requestsDesigns component/portion of a projectMay be accountable to a Project Manager or Senior EngineerActs as a mentor to Engineer IParticipates actively on project teams (may be a project lead)May validate/audit/review proceduresDevelops or provides input into projects: schedules, budgets, risksProvide regular status updates to SQA LeadDevelop and execute test cases/test scripts from requirements, use-cases, design documents, and other project documentation. Lead the definition of needed automated testing for complex features and productsDevelop and maintain a thorough understanding of product functionality to evaluate and ensure product operations during test cyclesWork with defect tracking systems for bug resolutionsMonitor and improve the performance of the test automation systemsImplement automation of moderate to difficult test casesDefine and direct the setup of test networks and other computer systemsTravel to customer sites for product testing and investigation as neededQUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of related experienceBachelor’s degree from a four-year institutionDefine the actual problem, test multiple scenarios, troubleshoot product issues, implement appropriate solutions and communicate the resultsSolid product knowledgeAbility to operate on a manufacturing floor as applicableAbility to quickly learnAbility to work effectively in a multi-discipline teamDemonstrates strong initiative and motivationDemonstrates ability to effectively solve problemsDemonstrates appropriate judgment/decision making for their level of authorityCompetitive Total Rewards at Badger Meter:
