Financial Counselor

determines the financial status of the patient during the financial counseling process and coordinates benefit authorization and management. The Financial Counselor captures patient liabilities while providing financial counseling to patients/guarantors, who require assistance in seeking and applying for healthcare funding (e.g., Charity Care, or other local/governmental assistance programs) and/or require assistance in reviewing and establishing payment options prior-to-service, at time-of service, and/or post-service.Hours:

On Site, Suburban Hospital, 8600 Old Georgetown Rd., Bethesda MD, 20814Requirements:Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum of two years’ experience in hospital or clinic environment, an insurance company, managed care organization or other financial service setting, performing financial counseling, financial clearance and/or customer service activities.Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification within 6 – 12 monthsOur competitive
