SUMMARY OF DUTIES Under the supervision of the Director of Hawaii Island Programs, the Clinical Supervisor is primarily responsible for supervising Bachelors and Masters level staff according to clinical standards of best practice. This includes consultation, conducting clinical case and chart reviews, reviewing all crisis and service plans, receiving program referrals, making case assignments, and organizing and coordinating the in-service training of staff to maintain quality of participant care with the goal of achieving positive case outcomes. Plans, organizes, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the services of program(s) and contracts assigned. Oversees budget and works to improve problems. EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS Masters' Degree social work, psychology, counseling or nursing from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Must be licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). EXPERIENCE Over two years, up to and including four years. SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Knowledge of area of program concentration. Skills in collaborating with other disciplines and agency personnel; knowledge of community resources and laws pertinent to crises victim; ability to maintain composure under pressure and in emergency situations; strong writing, verbal and listening skills. OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and use of

vehicle to transport participants, as needed, as well as a willingness to travel in

vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island. The nature of this position requires the incumbent to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Verification of licensure/certification will be required at time of appointment/hire, and continued employment is contingent on maintaining licensure/certification. This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions. Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPR, CPI and/or van driving training as such training is necessary to ensure ability/continued ability to perform essential functions of this job. Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral Management certification as may be contract-mandated.
