Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of this position is to provide diagnostic and treatment services to students with mental health or personal development issues, aiding in personal growth and development, and contributing to academic success and retention. This position will provide multi-culturally informed clinical services to individuals, couples, and groups. This position will participate in and organize outreach opportunities and collaborate with campus partners to support the student well-being goals of the Counseling Services office.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide individual, couples, and group psychotherapy, as well as crisis therapy services for NKU students.Conduct intake assessments and develop/implement treatment plans related to mental health and/or substance use.Facilitate educational and preventative outreach opportunities including but not limited to promotion of the Counseling Services office, promoting clinical and non-clinical services available to students, and supporting the student well-being goals of the Counseling Services office.Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with relevant departments and offices on campus.Assist in training/developing student interns.Attend weekly clinical staffing/staff meetings as well as any staff development workshops/retreats and stay abreast of current research and practices.Other duties as assigned by or with the approval of the Director.Qualifications
Licensed in the state of Kentucky as a LPCA, LPCC, CSW, LCSW, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist.Master's degree and 1 year of related experience.Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to go through a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.Minimum Education
