The Software Developer will support moving the enterprise reporting application from the on-premises environment to AWS Cloud.The ideal candidate is dedicated to learning and growing his/her development skills. This is a full-time position with remote work. However, staff may be required to support face-to-face meetings with the business line or end users. There is a potential for quarterly face-to-face SAFe ceremonies on occasion. The client is in Clarksburg, WV.Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties
Perform software development services using technologies such as Java, Python, and PostGreSQL.Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.Design or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.Analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for various applications.Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements.Design embedded systems software.Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.Requirements
Secret clearance required.Must have 8 years relevant experience without a degree.6 years of experience with an associate’s degree.3 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, OR 2 years of experience with a master’s degree.Security Requirements: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment with a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
